Wild Caught Oysters

I was a little confused when I saw "Wild Caught" on a container of oysters.

Is it just me? I didn't think of oysters as "caught." Fish are caught. Criminals are caught.

Oysters are collected and fished, in the broad sense of the term, by simply gathering them from their beds.

When I think of something being caught, I think of evasion techniques...duck and cover, a flight or fight response, run for your life...and other evasive maneuvers.

When I think "Wild Caught," I think of wild stallions or powerful sailfish fighting with cowboys or fishermen for grueling hours.

Oysters live on an oyster bed. A BED...that tells you how immobile they can be.

Super Special Ed Genius Headphone Adapter

We have Canon ZR800s in our collection and we recently purchased Canon ZR960s. Although both video cameras have a microphone IN port, neither of these cameras have a true headphone OUT port. This makes it difficult to test for/listen to audio when using internal and external microphones at the time of recording.

I discovered a work around that should work for most video cameras with a 4 pole A/V out port.

If you plug a 1/8" stereo mini plug pair of headphones into the A/V out, you will get feedback and distorted audio.

However, if you use the 4 pole A/V cable (4 pole to RCA male plug cable) that comes with the camera and a Female Stereo 3.5mm (1/8") mini to 2 Female RCA Adapter (See B&H site: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/408128-REG/Hosa_Technology_GRF_341_GRF341_Stereo_Mini_to.html), you will be able to plug the audio RCA male plugs of the A/V cable into the RCA female plug of the adapter. Then you can plug the 1/8" stereo mini plug male end of a pair of headphones into the female end of the stereo mini plug adapter.
