At night, pigeons roost on the roof of the temple and bats fly around the lights eating the insects that swarm around them.

Stairs in Amman

The districts of the city that make up Amman, Jordan are built on hills, so if you want to go from one neighborhood to another, it usually involves walking up stairs that are built into the side of the hills.

Jordan sucks...but it has four more days to make me change my mind

I was unimpressed by Petra...sorry not what I expected after all the hype. Not as grandeous as expected.

I have been overchanged and hassled the whole trip in Jordan.

Not to mention the taxi cab driver misunderstood Wahadat Station for Baghdad station. I was almost on my way to Iraq, when I said "NO Petra bus!"

Today I was told by the tourist police that one whole section of Petra was closed...it was too dangerous for tourists without a guide. Funny, guides cost money...coincidence?

Off to Jordan

I am off to Jordan tomorrow as long as I get up to go to the airport.

I should stay in tonight and go to bed early and get some sleep, but there is a party...and I'll only stay a little while...
